A new week of rewards with new tokens introduced
As initially planned, we are on for another week of rewards for 12,000 USDT worth of tokens. We are going to introduce new tokens this week so there won’t be only MATIC tokens to mine anymore: expect LP tokens.

Assembling such formations requires coordination and calculation to find the right spot but has proven very efficient to mine. We want to encourage players that mine in groups to be even more creative with their formations and also to boost solo miners who take more risks. We could deter the close formations with higher minimum pull price or higher fees from pulling but that would be detrimental to every player. Instead we are going to create new types of comet whose mining rewards are digressive when mined by several players at the same time. This will likely lead to Cometh’s version of the prisoner’s dilemma and some adversarial plays, let’s see!
A Chinese New Year Collection
This year is the year of the Metal Ox in the Chinese Zodiac. Last year of the metal Ox was 1961 and marked the start of the Chinese Space Program which successfully launch China’s first Satellite: Dong Fang Hong 1 (东方红一号)
To celebrate the new year of the Iron Ox, we will release a special collection of spaceship NFT through the traditional red envelopes:
A total of 888 Spaceships will be sold in bundles of 3 secret spaceships that will be revealed Friday the 26th at 10AM UTC (target block 11932338, countdown here). The 296 bundles will be available on Opensea for 1.68 ETH on Monday the 22nd at 11am UTC.
The spaceships of this collection are named after traditional Chinese literature and are inspired by this year’s zodiac sign. The collection will be a new faction, the Tianzi containing 777 (common) Journey to the West, 72 (uncommon) Earthly Demons, 36 (rare) Heavenly Spirits, and 3 mythic Three Kingdoms.
After purchase the secret spaceships will be tradable individually even before they are revealed. Cashback in $MUST ⚗️ will be distributed after the reveal and equally among each spaceship for 0.168 ETH directly from the layer 2 so as to save on gas fees. Yes you’re right, even a Common Journey to the West will give 0.168 ETH in MUST of Cashback 🚀.

About the randomness of the reveal
We will use the hash of the future block number 11932338 as a source of randomness and a reveal script which will be made public after the release of block number 11932338. The reveal script is already coded and has the following SHA256 hash: a14d6c82fce072f6e3921717a7ea469c35bb1e9c82f9e5976527a217e27ba31d.
As it is designed, a mining pool won’t be able to manipulate the outcome of the reveal because the reveal script is not known to them. The Cometh team won’t be able to manipulate the outcome either because the reveal script only that specific commit can be used and the block hash can not be known in advance.
The Rez, making ERC1155 cross the bridge
We wanted to release the Rez from the MEME collab in game last week and unfortunately we missed that objective. It turned out some bugs and hiccups appeared last minute on the Matic Bridge last Friday. A fix has been applied this weekend and we will check and test again early on Monday. Hopefully open the bridge for the Rez to securely enter the game, maybe Monday, most likely Tuesday.
The Aavegotchi release: Wednesday the 24th

Cashback in Layer 2 for new spaceships
As mentioned for the two new collections, the cashback will happen on layer 2 after the deposit of the spaceships are deposited on the bridge. This will let us harden some behind the scene features we are developing for the next version of the TUBE. Consequently, cashback on both new collections will be activated all together Friday. We will then look at technical solutions to apply the same logic to unclaimed cashback (yes we are talking about the drones).
Leader-board, statistics and APY returns
Blockchain infrastructure is tricky and layer 2 solutions are still in their infancy albeit already demonstrating their powers. The first dashboard we shared with the community was short lived as the blockchain endpoints it was plugged to was not able to handle the load. It means that we needed to build a dedicated backend. Contrary to older blockchains no off the shelf services were available. We have to delay the leaderboard and APY returns a little more to get them right but we will introduce in game statistics in the meantime.
