It’s been three very intense weeks since we started Cometh. Our team is flabbergasted by the traction and enthusiasm of the community.
Some numbers from our Dune Analytic Dashboard and others:
- 1,337 NFT Spaceships in the galaxy, 841 Sold on Opensea, 465 redeemed from MUST staking ⚗️
- Liquidity of the ETH/MUST pool at 5,600,000 USD and growing (note: our LP contest is still on, become a liquidity provider and receive a spaceship!)
- Players starting to get organised in guilds like the Snail Force 🐌, the Razor V or the Oceania
- Successful collection with dontbuymeme and the pixel artist Kristi Glas
Right now everybody is eyeing at our release date next Monday the 8th. Here’s a spoiler and an immediate teaser: We are ready to ship for the due date.
Despite our best efforts to have each and everything we initially planned, there are a couple of things on which we want to take a progressive and pragmatic approach notably the parameters of the ships and balancing of the game.
Our initial objective for this release was to be on mainnet with an Optimistic Rollup setup. Although the infrastructure has gained a lot in maturity it is not ready just yet from a security perspective to handle real tokens. We could have decided to release it on a testnet for the time being but that wouldn’t have been fair for players expecting real stake in the game.
Instead we are going to go live on Matic for this first iteration of Cometh. This choice was driven by numerous potential synergies with other games and utilities. Next Monday we will be live and alongside another DeFi NFT game: Aavegotchi who has a promising game and NFT marketplace launching this month on Matic Network.
We hope that this first release will help us rapidly improve the user experience and game balancing. We have a lot of surprises for you in the coming weeks. Happy mining everyone!
