The game Cometh has been live for 24h, and we have been overwhelmed by your enthusiasm and dedication.
We went live on MAINNET with greater success than we initially thought after switching from one target infrastructure to another. It is not perfect yet, but it worked: comets flew by, (700!) spaceships mined, players played… We did it, and it’s just the beginning.
As we are discovering new constraints of the layer 2 infrastructure with the increasing traffic and crazy player tryouts, we are working around the clock to cover all requests and feedback in due time.
The next 4 weeks will be focused on rebalancing the game based on your feedback, improving the overall UX and we will do our best to reward all players, especially those who’ve been testing and helping us since inception.
We are well aware of the high costs most of you endured while entering the game:
- Yesterday was an exceptional day for Ethereum gas prices, which we do not control.
- Once your spaceships are in the game (layer 2), they will be there for the long run and will allow you to earn passive income.
- The onboarding process is far from perfect and will improve significantly along the way.
About rewards; we will distribute at least $50,000 this month: +$1000 distributed yesterday, $5000 this week and the rest is to be dispatched during the month. We will continue to feed comets for everyone to get a fair chance at mining them. The goal really is to build up a circular economy that will reward players first, and most of all early participants. If you’re reading this, you’re one of them.
